Cam washer?

I installed the new cam and timing set in my 330 last night after remachining of the block . The bolt head that holds the cam in seems small for the size of the cam gear. Is there supposed to be a washer. I know it's not a big deal I can just a washer. Wondering if I am missing a factory component.

The bolt holds the fuel pump eccentric on the camshaft. No need for any additional washers.

You need to put a strait edge across the front rails of the block and measure how much clearance there is between the bolt and the front cover. If you go to much the bolt will hit the front cover. Don't forget that there is a gasket thickness between the cover and block

Good thing you asked your question. It would have sucked to get it all assembled and find out you forgot the eccentric.
