60 psi when? At idle? At 4000 RPM? Hot? Cold? 60 psi cold is nothing to worry about.

Exactly, it should drop significantly at operating temperature. My stock 76 bottom end hits 75 psi cold. I would try another gauge and or a sender. And your motor is probably a 73 to 76 motor, same casting number.

I haven’t been able to actually road test this car yet. Ogden Chrome still has my bumpers. 15 weeks now but that’s another story. I ran it about an hour and the oil pressure came down to 40. Double checked with another guage and exactly the same.
Im fairly certain the block is a 70. Stamp on oil filler tube indicated 70. I will verify the number on the block just so I know
for sure. Thanks

I think you are in a good oil pressure range. When you "balloon" or explode oil filters, then you do have a problem.

Numbers sound in range, high viscosity oil will affect pressure. What weight are you using?

Good luck!!!
