Dust Shield?

On my 72 Cutlass, 350ci engine, TH-350 Trans, there is a black plastic cover between the engine and the transmission. It's not the inspection cover, as this is a metal piece.

I don't have a picture at the moment, but does anyone know what this is called? There is a crack in it, and it'd like to replace it, but I can't find it at year one/fusick.

I thought it was a dust cover/ gravel cover, but I can't find anything.

I'll post pictures tonight.

Flywheel cover or something. I threw mine out long ago - had a crack as well. I need to get another one eventually as well, same with that wide plastic/rubber piece under the rad.

Where are you located? There are several guys on this site that part out these cars. If you're east, check with jensenracing77, Oldspackrat or J-(Chicago). If your mid or west give 2blu442 a PM. They have these things coming out their wazoos.

OPGI has a Universal GM Torque Converter Cover on pg. 166 of current catalog or search part CH26715. Not sure of the quality or fit. Seems to be a sought after part. I need one as well.
