Question Camshaft end plug

I am going to be replacing my cam bearings in the next couple of days. I got the installer/remover tool already. Does the camshaft end plug have to come out? I assume it does to get at the #5 bearing, if so, do I use the removal tool to persuade it out or some other method? The CSM was not very detailed concerning this.

If the end plug comes out, do I need to replace it? I am not seeing any part listings for it. I figured I would have to reuse it.

It would be hard to pull the bearing and leave the plug. Dorman makes the correct soft plug.

Thanks, where did source that part number from?

This Dorman website (link below) has what it looks like 5 of the same thing:

I got the P49C from the stamping on a cup plug I bought some years ago.

Got it, thanks. Say, I read where you are suppose to use non-hardening sealant on these plugs as well as the front oil seal. What would be an example of this? What do you all use?

I use ultra gray or black RTV, extra on the outside so it can't come loose.
