Best Inake a carb for 350

Hi All,
Planning on swapping my factory 2 Barrel carb and intake. What is the best intake aftermarket and carb to use or is it better to go with the factory 4 Barrel setup. The engine is completely stock with 57000 miles.
Cheers,
Keith

A Qjet with a factory 350 calibration and iron intake from the year of your motor. You can also go Performer if you plan on leaving it basically stock. The Performer RPM intake is better if planning upgrades. A Street Demon 625 or Quickfuel 600 Slayer in aftermarket if staying stock and either in a 750 if planning upgrades. All the aftermarket carbs will need calibration to your motor.

Define "best". What car, what trans, what gears? How do you plan to use it? What is most important to you - cost, HP, mileage, ease of installation?

I had this work done on my first car a 1967 Cutlass 330 2bbl stock low miles. Its been almost 30 years and i'm going off memory so bear with me. I went with the Edelbrock Performer intake and the Holley 600 cfm. Carb setup needed some fabrication in order to work correctly IIRC. Car worked well and ran well but to be honest it did not feel like I thought it would.

I can only assume you are looking for a little extra oomph. My advice is proceed with caution and be very thorough following trough with all your moves.

I have owned several Oldsmobile's over the past 30 years. All of them stock or stockish. Many of them in the 200 hp net range. Some came with 3.08, 3.23, 3.73, rear gears. Without a doubt the higher that number was the more aggressive the car felt. Even though i have never had a rear swapped with maximum performance in mind, i am fairly certain that this is the best bang for the buck.
