A5 intake

I was given an A5 aluminum 307 intake.....is this really better as a paperweight rather than a cheap way to get a 4-bbl on my 330?

Just checking before I scrap it......

The A5 is aluminum, so it's not even good as a doorstop. It only mates to the peanut-port 7A heads on the 1985-90 307s.

It's "fine" to you because apparently you have no other point of reference. Yes, the A5 will bolt to any SBO heads (except 260 heads), but the ports are a fraction of the size of those on all but 7A heads. The result is a big flow disturbance where the intake runner meets the port in the head.

oh really thats no good we have the stock iron but i figured it would be a nice weight saving and the ports looked the same as the iron so i figure i may just keep it till i can afford an aftermarket one
