'56 324 & Jetaway stalling at hard stops
Hi guys, I'm having some issues with the newly rebuild 324 & Jetaway in my '56 Olds.
The old setup was a stock 2bbl Rochester Powerjet and now I'm using a 2x2 setup with 2G Rochesters.
Here is what i looks like:

So when I come to an abrupt stop, the car stalls out on me. If I ease it, it'll shift down and I can keep it running.
The old carb was equipped with a dash pot, and I'm wondering if that's the problem, since I don't have one on the new setup...
I kinda ruled the transmission out, because it's also doing it when I shift into neutral before hitting the break hard.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Martin

The linkage between the tranny and the new carb setup may be different than the old setup causing the tranny to incorrectly sense the throttle position. Study a good repair manual and measure the current rod length before you change anything. Been there, done that.

Good leads guys, thanks!
I got a carb syncronizer and realized they were way off. Got them as close as I could, and not the doesn't stall out any more!
Think I still need to mess with the kick down linkage, because I'd like it to shift a little sooner...
