330 offset ground balance question in a 403 block?
After seeing Mark's response in the last thread; I now have my own question. What do slugs cost you guys down there each? I might get way with just two as long as my pistons actually weigh 550 grams along with the Scat sbc 2" journal rods. Does offset grinding make a balance difference? I know the Mallory will probably be double per slug up here for cost. Just making sure I won't get a huge shock on the final machining cost.

Amd even though you’re reducing the journal size, and consequently it’s weight, you’re also putting the weight farther out by increasing the stroke. That will necessitate adding weight to the counterweights.
You’re probably in for 3-4 slugs total.
