330 dipstick help.

well i searched and found i am not the only person to break off a dipstick
but i'm going absolutely insane trying to find a replacement that fits proper..
ive called every GM dealer within 100 miles and every auto parts store and talked to their "specialists" HA. ordered one from motorchrome.com and it didn't fit..tried sanding off the chome and got it in only to have the second one break off here's a side-by-side of the stock and motorchome piece.photo14.jpg

anybody know where i can find an actual OEM replacement?

I have repaired these by brazing with a torch.... maybe an option for yours.

sounds like it would work but i don't have that kind of skill lol, the application chart from summit says the PN 5727 spectre will work so ill try that one..local auto parts stores wouldn't order the part for me so i paid for shipping total was under $17

Last summer I went to my local Chebby dealer and they ordered a couple for me. I don't know where they came from... but at that time they were available. I got new dip sticks too but they have a bright yellow "T" handle on top. John

i picked up on from ebay for under 10 bucks. needed to be "adjusted" around my headers, but fit in the hole OK.

you might need to gently tap it into place using a wood block and a hammer
