Probably just looking for a little free advertising since reference is made as leading real estate agents in Jamaica... OR, they are interested in importing some of our Classic Olds to improve their sales...

I never liked spam, ! although my dad would get the Hormel corned beef hash, open one side of can throw away the lid, open the other side and push in and he would cut patties of hash, throw them in a big ol cast iron ( black) frying pan, till it was crispy on both sides, fry eggs in the same pan, usually at the same time lol, and put it on top of the hash patties, We loved it till our friends laughed at us, for eating that ... ( as kids) he also use to make SOS with armour dried beef on toast... well I am still alive and it couldn't have been that bad LOL

That actually sounds good to me. Nothing wrong with a little kitchen creativity. Been a while since I've had corned beef hash.

I never cared much for any form of Spam. But, my parents (mostly my Dad), would serve some up almost exactly like you described with the iron skillet, fried eggs, some hash browns & toast. When I did eat it, it was pretty decent. My Mom came from a huge family of farmers and it beat the **** out of eating beef head cheese & fried liver & onions. Parents would buy a whole hog and 1/2 steer a couple times/year from one of her brothers - local butcher carved it up and we'd fill a couple 16 cubic foot freezers in the basement.

Remember, the true friend is not the one that bails you out of jail. The true friend is sitting right there with you.

I hate spam, both kinds. Monty Python's Flying Circus was awesome. This thread is was great. I don't think there are a lot of Oldsmobiles in Jamaica. Then again , I have sent parts to Turkey, Norway, Italy. Ukrane, Poland, Netherlands.

I had a trans mount break, and the tail housing rubbed the crossmember damaging the housing. This caused a leak at the VSS. I had it replaced today, and can finally drive my 91 Custom Cruiser.

They may still serve that at Hawaii McDonald's with their scrambled egg platter. That was the BIG treat back in WWII there...maybe they are preserving a tradition. Any members here from Hawaii would like to chime in?

My dad would not eat spam because during WWII, that was nearly the only meat they could get using their ration stamps. He was a welder in the shipyards and had an occupational deferrment.

went red neck today !!

went on another reconoscence mission today, went over the old girl looking for that piddly stuff that needs attention, so today a noticed little rubber stoppers in the upper corners of the door closing ( this is a two door sedan ) the screws are there but no rubber so I hit my Fusick catalog and found they are available so just as I am about to order I say to myself, self those rubbers look familiar where have you seen them before ? then it hit me!!! i just did a plumbing repair the other day replacing faucet washers in the master bath !! those sure look like faucet washers to me !! I have a plumber friend who gifted me a nice washer kit complete with multiple sizes and index , so after a very slight mod (countersinking the whole) the Olds has now been retro-fitted with faucet washer door bumpers !! looks and operates perfect GO RED NECKS !!!
