Help with paint codes, 70 Cutlass & 71 Cutlass
I need your help on decoding two paint codes identified on each trim tag please:
1970 Cutlass color code 20. Car is presently silver blue, convertible top C
1971 Cutlass color code 29 (never heard of 29), convertible top A. Car currently looks twilight or or Royal blue which is code 28.
As always, I will appreciate your help.
Thank you,

Thanks Terry, I appreciate your help. I know the 1970 Cutlass is definitely not the paint code 20. The car must have been repainted because it looks silver blue. I'll try to get the "truth" from the seller. The 1971 Cutlass is definitely paint code 29, Monarch Blue. I really like the color on the Cutlass. I knew it wasn't paint code 28 twilightblue /royal blue. I really like the Monarch Blue better than Twilightblue. It's rare and very unusual. Thank you for you help. Twilightblue28A Harry

Hi Joe, Are we saying paint code #29, Monarch Blue was not available on the 71 Cutlass Convertible. An earlier post informed me that Monarch Blue was normally seen on the Toronado, but was also available, although rarely on the 71 Cutlass. I have the trim plate with paint code 29 on a Cutlass Convertible. Please help. Thanks,Harry

Not at all. If you look at that paint chart, only colors with asterisks are "Toro only" colors. #29 does not have an asterisk, thus it was readily available on any 1971 Olds. There was also an RPO code for special colors in any case.

Joe, sorry I completely misunderstood. I see that the paint code 29, Monarch Blue was available on the
71 Cutlass. By the way, the color is good looking and unusual. Thanks again for your help. Harry
