Quadrajet linkage

Does anyone know the size of the clip that holds the throttle cable to the carb? Is there an E cilp that fits it?

TIA
Will

I just went and measured mine for ya' and the carb linkage shaft where the pin fits is 0.182 inches.
Don't use an E clip as they are hard to get on and off and may not have enough surface area to work properly. Use a clevis pin clip instead. You should be able to get this at any hardware store.

I'm sure the clevis will work fine, I think the original ones may have looked like this.

Thanks. Yes, that is the correct one. I ordered one and it doesnt fit. I can probably take a Dremel to it and make it work but am going to pick up a clevis pin in case it doesnt.

Interesting, I never saw that before. The '70 Supreme that my Dad bought second hand in '77 (and was my first car) had a clevis pin as shown above. I always though it was the original retainer. That pin lives on with the '71 convertible.
