It'll work. Honestly though, your original can be fixed. I just dropped mine off at the local guy who does all the aluminum trailer and pontoon boat repair. $40 and water tight.

Good luck with the sale. These are so cool ... definitely on my "maybe someday" list. No doubt there is a lot of work to fix those rust areas but being from Michigan too, I've worked on way worse....

Was just looking through the service manual ... the set temp for the 'hot' idiot light is 243 degrees. Plus or minus 2 degrees. Pretty darn hot.

It's not "correct" but I really like the look, so have no plans to change it.
