so you have to pull , disassemble,and machine your heads to get them right. sounds like the geometry is not right. I have been working on olds engines since the mid 60's and don't mind learning...

it seems plenty of guys have had good luck with these roller tip rockers , i could never get them to work right . the geometry seems off to me.

Get a can of radiator flush from the parts store and flush it yourself . The directions are on the can , it is simple.

The oil filter adapter mounts to the block and it does use a gasket.

Had to go with longer big block valves.
You may want to look into plus .050 10...
