Thanks everyone for your insight. I just looked up the VIN and it is #255 in the registry. It truly is a beautiful car, I tend to agree with the majority that this is not the original block.

Unusual Block Stamping

There is a 1969 H/O listing on ebay that has an unusual block stamping number. Where I would expect to see 39MXXXXXX, it instead has 79MXXXXXX where the last six do match the VIN of the car. Does...
