HYD Roller Lifters

I need to buy a set after Xmas. What brand is correct for our motors?
Who to purchase a set from thats not outrageous on price?

Ive seen a few discussions on a few other forums but I'd like some info & input from the good people on this forum.

I have a Lunati Hydraulic roller all ready in the 455 short block. Lunati stopped selling theirs right after I bought my cam. I had planned to get the cam, lifters and springs from them.

The Scorpion ones are supposed to be good, no personal experience with them though. I am buying a set for my Pontiac build, which are the same as Olds.

Morel makes the ones I have in my Olds, a couple ticked when I first installed them, but quieted up within 500 or so miles. Morel makes them for Howards, Lunati, and several others, and are considered affordable and decent quality. I purchased mine from Rocket Performance.

The 'new' Comp Cams 857S lifter is the short travel performance one that replaces the original 857 ones that had quality issues. Have to be careful if you order these since many warehouses have the old ones in stock.

Thanks for the input. I read about Morel and get my Olds parts from John at Rocket Racing. I will talk to him and most likely purchase a set through RR.
