Well it's been awhile since I've posted and a lot has changed since then. Hoping to have this thing track ready before long now.

Thank you. The wheels are Champion Racing. They are unfortunately no longer in business. These are for sale though. I have other plans as far as wheels go.

Ok Chadman, I am officially jealous!

That is one mean, clean, racing machine!

What is your engine combo and output; transmission; rearend?

Weight of the car?

Goals for the car, etc.?

The engine is 462 CID. 4.185 x 4.200 stroke. Billet crank, full girdle, aluminum rods, Rocket Racing heads, solid roller cam. It makes 790hp at 7500 rpm. Trans us a built up th400. Rear is a Moser M9. Unsure of the weight but estimate 3250 with driver. Goal is 9.30s at over 140 mph.

It would be nice to see your car featured and get the ink it deserves. How many hours do you think you have into the build?

Thanks for the kind words. I couldn't even begin to estimate the amount of hours I have in this thing.

Super nice !!!
How did you mount the steering shaft down to the rack and pinion? I can't see the shaft or actually the steering wheel.

It's not currently in the car. I will post pics when I get it back in. Headers need to go in first and they are currently at the coater.

It's mounted with the aluminum plate you can see in the pics. It's bolted to tabs welded to the frame. There is another plate between the engine and transmission as well. There are no motor mounts on the sides of the block.

Very, Very nice.....

Would you mind sharing your cam specs/card and any pics or info you have for the heads(flow numbers, etc.)?

Compression? expected fuel you will run?

Converter info?

When and where do you plan to start doing some shakedown runs?

Thanks again for sharing your build; it truly does look magazine worthy.

"engine was built by Milan Obradovich"

Hold on..........thats a shocker, I would have thought you would have used the "Olds Expert" cutlas EFI, but then again after looking at the car build one would know better LOL.

1320/144 MPH = 9.16 @ 3250

Are the bumpers going to be steel or glass?
Are your new wheels going to be of your own design?

Bumpers are glass. They are at the shop getting Cosmichrome now. The wheels will be a surprise, stay tuned.

Typically I build my own engines and also for a small group of customers but I couldn't pass up the opportunity on this one. It isn't every day that you get the chance to get your hands on an intake and a set of heads done by John Marcella. It's a proven performer and being built by Milan I know it was done with detail and no corners cut.

It's the stock 2.48/1.48/1.00 ratios and a 4.10 in the rear w/29.5x10.5 tire

We have run cars similar to what you have, although the lightest one was 3400 and the heaviest being 3600. Both cars utilized a 2.30 first gear, and 30x10 radial slicks, I think a 4.30 gear would be a good starting point. I really believe you have a high 1 teen 60 foot car there with the right drive line behind that engine. Please let us know how your testing goes.
