BBO heads

I currently have c heads on my 455. I was looking for some aluminum heads and I run across the procomp brand. Has anyone run these, or would the edelbrocks be a better choice?

Procomps are fine. If you looking for the last little bit of hp then the Edelbrock may be better as they have a different combustion chamber.
But either way they're both waaaay better than stock irons. I'd do the Procomps in a minute. Contact Bernard Mondello in Ca, he'll set you up right.

So Mark, the Pro Comps started out as a SB head? Was that because of the fuel pump fitting. Chambers? Are they big for a SB or small for a BB? Just curious.

Okay thanks for the reply. The price difference is what was kinda scaring me about them. I was always told you get what you pay for and I didn't wanna buy a set of heads and they be no good.

No same as the original Edelbrocks. They were designed for a big block first but will work on a small block with the right combo and electric pump.

So they still need an electric pump also. (wouldn't bother me at all) OK thanks.
