I ran across some old photos of an Oldsmobile day at Norwalk (Ohio) raceway. I can't remember the year I took the photos (at least 10 years ago), but I thought that some of you guys would like the pics. My brain is telling me that there was a 4 in the date, but 2004 seems too soon and 1994 seems too late. The tragedy is that I shot at least 4 or 5 rolls that day, as well as some video, but I lost a lot of those memories in a basement flood. Only maybe 12 or 15 photos remain. Enjoy.

That is definitely in the mid 90's. I ran there weekly from the late 80's until 1999. IIRC they put in the Jersey walls around the late 90's. Plus that Comp Cams sign is real old school looking. In 1997 they had the huge grandstand to the right of the waterbox where you could exit underneath the stands, which is their current configuration. The memories. Anymore PICS?

The red 68 with snorkel scoop in the last set is my dads 442, Its now black with an more modern scoop. Ill dig up some pictures

So far, I haven't found any more pics. Thank you for the replies. Now I am remembering that Joe Mondello had the V.O. Twister out there that weekend. He and his wife both made some passes in it. I will definitely post more when /if I can find anything.

Hi Allan,
Do you mean I should move all of the pics to that thread? I have more Olds race car pics (a lot of action photos) from the weekend in Norwalk, along with some nice restored cars that were there. I was hoping to see if some members recognized some of the cars and remember the event.
(I am still learning the ins and outs of threads). Thanks for your compliment on the pics.

Gosh no Mick. I was suggesting you post them again, along with any other pics in the other thread. If you go to the Race Car thread and start from the beginning you'll be amazed at how much there is there. Lots of archival pics condensed into one area. You can certainly post in both threads whatever you wish. I was just suggesting an option to keep related material together? You've got some great shots that I'm positive Scot would love to see.
