I only saw 1 time trial on this car and he was having traction issues. I believe the car goes 11's. He was racing with the 422 allstar nostalgia group. They have a web site and its cool.

Not sure, have never been to Island Dragway in NJ even though I live in NJ. Weather is key and I would trailer the 442 there for the car show. It would be a last minute decision for sure.

That is Wayne Shipley's '66 442 455 stick that runs 10 flat on a goid track in good air. Usually runs 10 teens at a buck 132 and change. 422 Allstars are a great bunch of guys that are out to race and have fun and take both pretty serious.

This may have been Randy Friedley, maybe not. The car was purchased from Friedley Olds in Cedar Falls Iowa.

This was Woodland & Andreasen who went to Berejik Olds in Needham Mass. in 1968,I think. Berejik also ran a 68 H/O with Stebbins & Dalrymple that had the E.T. record for a while.

We seen the car around 82 in front of a San Francisco gas station.
For the movie it was powered by a big block Chevy and most likely stayed Chevy power.

Well that's not right... Remember the car being pretty worn down.

It was well worn.
It would have made a fun drag car with the movie history.

The '70 "Lubik Olds" car is STILL owned my friend Ron McHugh from VA. Ron had the car restored to original condition (not race trim) and the car now is one of the premier '70 W-30 4-speed Conv. to be found anywhere. Jack Troxel is still playing with cars now and then, and has some AWESOME vintage Mopar Super Stockers. Ron McHugh's brother has a "72 Olds that highly resembles the Waibel/Ingersoll car--actually I think it might be an ex-Jack Troxel stocker--will try to get Ron on here for some current photos.
my father is Jack Robinson. He is 92 years old and still living in Glen Burnie Maryland. He hasn’t been in touch with Troxel in sometime, but I’m sure they are still good friends at heart, and also with Frank Augustine.
