I am looking into header situation, and came across, https://www.ebay.com/itm/OLDS-CUTLAS...-/182850971141

I like the look but what about performance

They are not headers, doubt there will be a performance increase.

90* intersections do not make for good flow and the number 8 cylinder actually goes against the flow.

Cosmetically they look better than stock manifolds but I doubt they perform any better. Most people believe they would be a waste of money.

One of the members here bought an engine from Thornton that had them on it when he got it, probably the one in the picture. Don't know how they worked out.

I want a set now since I have the old ‘headers’.
Just saw these on eBay from Thornton. They are for sale now in two different finishes.

The collector merge on those 455 headers looks less restrictive than their 350 headers. Either way, a good product introduced.

There have been many tests over the years shorty headers V long tube headers on non Olds engines. The long tube headers have been a clear winner its not even close.
The stock 442 manifolds from the big blocks work okay 68-72. If you are looking to make HP above stock level long tubes are the way to go.
