Anyone know who makes these?

Saw these fab'd valve covers on youtube, they might be Moroso's, they don't have all the bolt holes in them which makes me wonder just how leak prone they may be. I've seen the cheap china crappy welded parts on ebay........ don't want those. If these are Moroso parts, anyone have a set for sale, preferably w/o breather holes already. I'm going to paint them and have my pin striper letter them with the Oldsmobile script. Thanks, Dave

Those are just the latest craze in “sheet metal” valve covers. Do an eBay search, a whole bunch of guys are making those.

Yes I know, as I said, I don't want the crappy ebay stuff from china that makes most of them, including the chit that Paso Robles advertises. I know that Moroso did and will make the fab'd vc but last time I saw them they were like $300 or more........update

yes, Rocket Racing does sell the fab'd parts, just looked them up. They list for $320 EACH!!!

There is a guy on rop with a set of what appear to be nice sheet metal covers for 150 I think. I’ve been eye balling them for my turbo motor but I don’t have an account there and don’t know how bad I want them.

Oh yeah, that’s him. Didn’t know he was on here. Gascoop, if you don’t jump on them I might go for them now that I know I can get ahold of him easily.

Ok just because they’re not on eBay doesn’t mean they’re not Chinese. Just sayin.

FYI, when I built my 455 I installed a Moroso oil pan that leaked from the drain plug. That was while the engine was on the stand.

Luckily Summit has great customer service and they sent me a new one. Unfortunately, that one leaked too. So, I ended up swapping my 2nd Moroso pan for a Milodon pan.

I don't know if I encountered a bad batch of Moroso parts, or if my experience reflects their usual build quality. Just something to keep in mind.

As long as they don’t leak that is not an issue for me.

cutlassefi............ I agree with you 100%, looks like a lot of the usual vendors buy nothing but chinese junk. So, young olds, I just looked up racer x's ad, I saw them before, you can have them. Olds64, yes I also agree with you, seems like QC has gone down the drain and a lot of "supposed" top quality mfg's are having thier parts made in china and thier reputation is suffering for it. Also a BIG yes on Summit's customer relations, they are if not theee best, they are one of the best in that department. Thanks to all the have ressponded.....the hunt goes on.

A guy on ROP purchased a CNC machine not long ago, looked to be doing some Proto typing on valve covers. he may make you up a pair.

Hello, we are sorry if there is some confusion, but the covers are priced per pair. I believe only the gm performance parts covers are listed as each. I f you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you

Hello Rocket Racing,
I have a curious question.
I bought these covers second hand but new, minus the spark plug wire retainers,I added those.
I have always wondered if these were originally sourced from RR. Do these look like they could be yours?
thank you

Those could be ours. They look just like them. Thick rails, same bolt pattern and shape. If the rail is one piece, they very well could be. If they are ours, they are USA made.

Thank you
