I have roller rockers and the valve cover baffles removed completely. I have the 2 breathers attached to the oai air filter. I obviously have alittle oil in the air filter housing, Is this an issue?
Also the intake rubber 90. That connects vacuum to the carburetor is leaking oil. So im assuming there is no valley pan?

The engine has been built before me, with not allot of miles on it, the oil pan was modified, looking in the oil passages cleaned, roller cam/ rockers. So maybe theres a reason the valley pan isnt on..

No baffles means sucking oil, usually people will fab a small baffle or I've read of a rubber grommet w a baffle built in.

Re valley pan one should be used but trimmed to fit w your set up

I made baffles using washers and a zig zag plate set up on a riser stack for the breather. worked very well.

I have no baffles in my roller set up, no leaks at all, just need to get the proper size grommet for the hole in the valve cover and the breather or PCV you are using

How about this---My race car smoked out one header for a whole season and I thought I checked/changed everything without getting into the motor which ran fine. Turned out I had switched the valve covers from left to right and one of the rockers was flipping oil right up into the opening for the evac hose. I haven't seen those pans under the intake used in years but I suppose they use them on stock engines. We currently use a Victor manifold and have a pcv valve tapped right into the valley and into the manifold right under the carb----zero oil leaks anywhere.

If you find your using a bunch of oil then you need to do something. If its just a small amount just wipe it up periodically. Most do not use the turkey tray with roller lifters because they need to be trimmed.

Thanks guys, seems fine.
But the vacuum 90 boot on the top of the manifold spews oil onto the intake after driving acouple miles. I tried a hose clamp, this is my main concern ill take a pic

After 20 miles it will fill half the chamber area of the manifold, stock there isnt a clamp..?

No clamp on the boot, if you don't have a modified turkey tray, or valley tray you're gonna have oil pumping up through the nipple, I'd plug the hole.

the 90 in vac. to carb. right? Is it can be plugged?

Yes, that is not a vacuum port, it is for a pcv valve, and should be connected to the large nipple on the carb baseplate. You could pull the intake and install a modified turkey tray, or valley tray which would keep the oil off the bottom of the intake.

So i can cap the intake and carb end of this hose.? the pcv are on both valve cavers
