Headers 442

I have a 1974 oldsmobile 442 and I just can't seem to find the right headers. The car is in the shop now and I gave the mechanic the wrong size headers. Could someone direct me to some headers that would fit the original 350 rocket v8. Thank you

What brand and part number are you currently trying to install?

they were shorty hooked headers that fit a small block chevy motor for 250 to 400 motors. I figured they would fit but they are totally wrong

Yeah, Chevy parts will not fit on an Oldsmobile engine. Not sure why you thought they would.

You need to look up headers for a 1974 Cutlass with an Oldsmobile 350 engine (in 1974 you could not get a Chevy engine in an Olds).

I used the Sanderson shorty headers on a 73 Cutlass 350. 2 1/2 inch exhaust
Look great, fit great and don't interfere with starter or oil filter.
Even removed oil pan without touching the exhaust.

Don't be fooled! Just because the displacement is 350 cubic inches for the Chevy and Olds (or Buick or Pontiac), they are quite different engines.

X2, they fit almost as tight as manifolds.
