Extra Tach for '65 Cutlass Sports Coupe
Hi from New Zealand, not sure if I am in the right area or not but here goes.
My '65 Cutlass has the factory original tach mounted to the floor console and it's a thing of great beauty. Trouble is it's not that useful as by the time I have looked down to the see what's shown on the tach too much time has gone past! As I am going to be drag racing the car at a NSRA family drag day next month for the first time (ever) I am thinking of installing another tach attached to the steering column. I want to leave the original tach working so any info would be much appreciated as far as this is concerned. For example. where do I connect the new tach to? The car currently has the GM HEI type system operating and as I only purchased "My Forever" car in mid November I am still figuring things out.
Regards
Norm

Make a wiring harness that has both tach's on it, than when you are done with it hook up the NOS harness take out the tach on the steering wheel and you are set for next time. And just hide the wires. Never did it before cause I have a 4 speed, but it should work?
