455 roller cam

Want to run a roller cam. Does it make much more power than a flat tappet?. Was thinking comp 283thr7 cam. What's best way to find correct pushrod length with this combo.

Get a cam that's right for your combo, not one that just makes noise.

Cutlassefi is 100% correct. Years ago I stopped buying "Box Shelf" cams when I realized those cams are just a generic grind that will work OK with several different engine combinations.
There is power to be gained by grinding a cam for your specific needs/desires/combination.

I have used Mark (Cutlassefi) for more than one custom grind and been overly happy with the results. I see plenty of engines with the almost identical build as mine making much less power and the only big difference I can see is a lot of them are running a box cam VS a custom grind.
