wire wheel hubcap needed, see photo
my brother needs the above mentioned wire wheel/ spoked hubcap for his 1973 88 Royale convertible. He says maybe it's from the '80's and not a '73? 15 inch rims.

Got news for you Randy. Those aren't Olds wheel covers. They are Chevrolet (full size) with an Olds center cap slapped on them.
Here's what a real wire wheel cover for 1973 Delta Royale looks like

Thanks for the great info. We knew it wasn't original '73 Olds, but sure did not know what it was from. So now my brother can either try to find original '73 Royale, locate one chevy, maybe go back to the interstate where he lost his, or just buy a new set of four aftermarket. Depends on what he's after. Me...I'd go for the stock '73 Olds. Could be pricey.
Thanks to all.
Thanks to all.

They are also Olds, '85-90. GM Corporate caps, just the centers are changed.
Here's one:
http://www.hubcapsandcentercaps.com/oldsmobile.html
The ones without a backing plate (you can see the rim) were used mid-eighty's thru 1990. The center caps changed around a bit, but all parts interchange, so you can use caps from a Chev with an Olds center, etc.
The one in you pic has a uncommon center, but I have sen them around.
Good luck searching.

Yes and no. Yes, if you're looking for NOS wheel discs. I bought a set of correct 72 wire wheel discs about 6 years ago and they cost me 400.00 (won't fit 73 Delta because my Cutlass is 14") Still haven't put them on the car - so they're sitting patiently in their box downstairs.
And on the flip side you can pick up used covers in driver condition and restore them. These wire wheel discs come apart - on the back side are 8 screws that tension both the outer and center caps down. Other than that the whole assembly is like an interwoven spoke pattern.
These 73 OEM wire wheel covers are heavy!! Seriously heavy compared to the later stuff.

Those are 83/84 styling (with 84 center caps). They look to be in amazing condition - very bright chrome and no visible road rash. Do they also have the locks? for 100.00 that's a heck of a good deal! They are 15"?
