Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold - OLDS 400 - 425 - 455 / USED

What is a good used price for one of these babies? I'm just starting to collect parts for a 455 build.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/Edelbro...torefresh=true

Any and all opinions welcome .
Thanks,
Rich

That price isn't bad, but that manifold looks badly stained or corroded. They are hard to clean nice and hard to keep clean, if you were going to paint it it might be ok. They are about $300 new so if you got a nice used one for less than $200 I think that would be a good deal.

I just sold an 04b for $175 shipped and it was in much nicer shape than that ebay one FYI

Thanks

Thanks for weighing-in, RR. Yes, that one has some red engine paint overspray on the edges, along with the normal spooge. If I "win" it, I'll put it in the media cabinet, and see how it turns out.

Paint them----you want new, used, or cheap????? I have a cheap one that has been repaired in the exhaust cross over. Worked fine and you can't see under the manifold when its installed.

Pics?

Hey FerndaleFlyer,
Can you either post or email me some pics detailing the good and bad? I'm open to both "used" and "cheap," depending on condition discoloration is OK, repair welds may be OK, depending on price, condition and presentation. I am considering painting to match the engine once completed, anyway.

Thanks,
Rich

manifold prep

FWIW, in the past, I have had aluminum intakes, as well as valve covers, powder coated to match the engine color. It's very durable and if you happen to get a little fuel on the intake it won't discolor. We also block sanded the fins on the valve covers down to the aluminum after coating, for a nice effect.
