trans throttle control (kick-down?) switch
#1
I need a part for my 1967 Olds 98 425. 1965 thru 1967 Olds used this switch. My owner's
manual calls the part an "auto. trans. throttle switch". Someone else
called it a trans-throttle switch. It's located
under the hood, near the firewall, mounted on a bracket. It has linkage
from the carburetor, and linkage from the firewall (gas pedal), linkage
from the cruise control, and linkage from the transmission, all hooked up
to it. It has a square shape (I've seen others that were round), and It
has three wire connected to it (on the opposite side of linkage hookups).
Two bolts (on the bottom) attach the switch assembly to a bracket. I can email photos of this part.
If you can't help, do you know someone that may?
Thanks,
Tom Salisbury
