1966 425 Quadrajet Carburetor

The genius that owned the car before me switched it to a 2BBL to "Save Fuel" LOL what a laugh. I woul like to put it back to stock so need to source a carb.

I managed to get a Qjet from a 1972 Buick 455 in one of my other deals carb# 7042240 which has the fuel inlet in the correct place I just don't know if the linkage will work with my setup.

So if anyone out there has the correct carb for my application I am interested.

A 72 Buick 4bl carb will have the fuel inlet to the front as opposed to the 66 Olds 4bl carb which has the fuel inlet entering on the right side of the carb.

Sorry Henry. Gonna have to disagree with you there. Every one I have seen is on the front. As I type this I am looking at the factory repair manual in the carburetor section. It clearly shows the 4BBL Quadrajet (4MV) with the fuel inlet on the front of the carb.

Are you sure? All of my '66 Olds 4bls have the fuel line entering from the right side. 72 Buicks come straight to the front.????

Yes i'm sure. The 66 Olds fuel line come to the carb from the right side but the fuel inlet is on the front of the carb not on the side. Not exactly the same as the Buick as the Buick goes straight into the front of the carb..

I will scan the manual if you want to see the differences
