Rear coil springs for 1970 Cutlass

Hi,
I just bought a 1970 Cutlass Supreme (442 tribute) and the prior owner put station wagon springs in the rear. It has a posi "O" type rear. The back of the car sits way too high for me. I'm looking for the stock coil rear springs for this car. I know Eaton sells them new and I'm not sure buying used springs is a good idea. Can anyone help with a recommendation? If used ones are OK, I'd prefer to save the cash.

Anybody need good 1970 Vista Cruiser springs??

I talked to Mickey at Eaton, he said he'd send me a pair, MC1305 (which are a half inch lower than MC1233 (stock non HD)). I'm going to have him ship both, try them and keep the pair that looks best.
Very frustrating isn't it...
If you've found a set you like, let me know what and send me a picture...
thanks

If you do search for "springs" on the site, we've had many conversations about suspension and springs, pictures and pn#s included. Then you'll just have to read the titles and research.

they get them from ESPO (I have them in the car).
I'm going to try Eaton... If this fails, I'll get a set that is dropped an inch or so... thanks. Just did an order with Fusick, they are my first choice for Olds parts

Like old cutlass said check some prior threads search moog springs or goto rockauto see the options and then goto moogs site and see the specs.

I got the moog hd springs fr and rr w a rate that's near the fe2 rate the car sits perfectly level. I wanted it slightly higher in the rear so I added a 1" spacer it's now exactly how I wanted it

Btw they were about $150 for all four springs

Here you go all the spring info you need to make an informed choice
