Don't know where you are located, but here in NW Nevada I have a 3:42 posi O type rear end available. Don't really want to ship it though.

There's one on ebay for 5K ! :- ) lol I'm sure I could sell a TM for 1/2 that.

You could not get 3.23 in a 1970 W-30 4 speed car. Camshaft was to wild! You could get 3.42, or 3.91, but I'm sure you knew that.

Pleasant talking with you earlier. Sounds like a really great numbers matching car. Here's an idea. Why not keep the rear end it was born with and matches your documentation and get a 3.42 GM ring and pinion to put into your TO rear. You'll use the same 588 carrier and get the gearing you're looking for. Keep your originals with the car of course. Brian Trick would probably have a gearset for you, or find something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-68...QtF:rk:24:pf:0. Too bad it's not closer to you.

Whatever you do, don't buy the Richmond 3.42 to put in there. Those are made for the 3.23 carrier and won't fit right.

I have TM code posi rear end available. It has dealer installed 4:33 gears, but it can be switched back to the 3:42 gears. Please contact me or PM me if interested. I'm located in Colorado.
