1970 Heater control face plate with defogger

***FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR - THANK YOU***

I'm looking for an excellent '70 only heater control face plate with the rear defogger option. If your heater applique is excellent but the chrome surround is pitted, let's talk. If you have the whole face plate you want to sell, great. If you have an expensive NOS applique', I'm open.... I really don't need any of the switches or the mechanicals behind the dash - mine are perfect. The reproductions for the '70 only piece are poor. Thanks!!!

Are you looking for the faceplate with defog on glass, or the one for forced air?

The one with forced air. It's a '70 only piece, unfortunately. No red lens, just "Off LO HI" on the right side switch. The reproductions are missing the chrome edge around the switch openings.

Yes, I know about the repro faceplates missing the subtle details. I saw that when i was looking. Unfortunately my units are for the defog on glass.

Maybe touch base with 442crzy. He seems to have parts that no one else does. Here's a link to his PM if you're interested. There are other guys on this site who part out cars if he doesn't have what you want. 442crzyPM

You need to check the repro version sold by The Parts Place. Theirs have the "raised edge" around the VERTICAL switch openings. The lettering font may not be ABSOLUTELY exact but they do have the raised edge(s) which another repro version does not have.

Not sure if TPP sells a version with the defrost switch opening but worth checking to see.

Parts Place has the Air Conditioning with defogger and the heater face plate, but not the heater with defogger, unfortunately...
