'63 4 speed parts needed

I'm currently looking to gather some parts to begin a 4 speed conversion on my '63 Cutlass

I have a Schroeder Enterprises bellhousing, but I pretty much need everything else.

I found someone with an original t-10 borg warner out of a '63Olds, but he wants to trade it for a Muncie which I do not have.

If anyone can help please let me know.

Just be sure when you look at a T-10 that it has the bolt hole in the center of the tail shaft.

Unless you care about a correct T10 installation for your 63, I'd suggest a T5 instead.

Would both a t-10 or a t-5 require the same tunnel mod and brace?

Two completely different transmissions with completely different dimensions.

A T-10 was an option in 62 and 63 F-85s . No mods are necessary . Except cutting a hole in the floor for the shifter.

The T-5 is completely different , and much larger in size than a T-10. It would take a lot of "butchering " to make it fit .

The T-10 has to have more than just a hole cut for the shifter. The entire front center section has to be replaced.

OK here's an update! Thanks for the help guys!

so far I have found..

a minty 4sp console
complete 4sp pedals with linkage
bell crank, stud and frame bracket
complete stock shifter assy
4 speed trans support and mount

I also found a guy that can build me the correct T10 for the '63, so I still need a tachometer, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, shortened driveshaft and... I'm sure much more.

let me know if you can help out!
thanks
Lionel

I have a couple tachometers. I will need to see what condition they are in and test them.

I looked it up and I have more in this one than it is likely worth. I got it when I could not find any and was wanting one. Looked for a long time and picked this one up for $100. After that they pop up on ebay all the time for $75 to $125. I never did use it like I had planned and can let it go. I am sure you could find one for less on eBay if you want to go that way. I want the $100 I paid for this one if I sell it. It is not perfect but it does work good. It looks fine for a driver or maybe a little better but would need restored for a really nice show car. I can cover shipping if you want it. There are a couple on eBay now if you want to look at those first.
