As the title says im in search of a pair of door panels for a 61 Starfire (first choice) but I would also consider a usable pair for a 62 both in maroon. The 61 set I would prefer the nicest possible (obviously) but depending on what you have if I can salvage any of it I will consider. I have the arm rests already but cannot use them with my Dynamic door panels (which I will sale or trade pending finding a replacement Starfire panel).
The rear panels would be nice also.
Please help me complete this project!
I have a Red '62 Starfire 2 Dr. Htp. but I don't think the Door Cardboards are probably any better then yours. I believe the rear side 1/4 panels sections are shorter than your '61 Bubble top as the roof line has a longer "Rake" then a '62 has. I think you'll have to stick with looking for '61 bubble top roof lines. Why don't you just change your Card boards with some Balsawood and just section it with what needs replacing. You look like you scored some nice '61 Bucket frames.
Thanks,
John

Given you have enough of BOTH time and money, SMS Fabrics can fill your need - https://www.smsautofabrics.com/

If I cant find any I'll make my own. Might have to chop up these originals for the steel upper core though which would be a shame as they are decent usable panels. Won't break my heart though. I'm also pretty sure that SMS wont have any of the trim and that's most of the panel if you include the center engine turned panel where the arm rest sits; then the lower is carpeted.

Your needs....
I'm assuming you're looking for everything to clone your Bubble top as a Starfire and need Floorshift, linkage, Steering Column and shifter, as well as all the Door Hardware from a Starfire including the Long Armrests that Starfires have?

What I need at this point is 61 (preferably) or 62 Starfire door panels and the Starfire dash emblem for a 61.
I have the seats and console, a pair of 62 Starfire armrests, shifter and the linkage to the trans. Im waiting to install the armrests when I get some door panels and I'm working on installing the floor shift, the console is just sitting in the car.
It would be great to come across a Starfire underdash wiring harness that would connect to the console. The console wiring harness is PERFECT and I don't want to cut on it at all so at the minimum I need to try and find connectors if I need to make my own harness.
I also have the courtesy light switch (two actually) and I was going to install those I have three block off plates where they go. I won't need a top switch but it would be nice to have the speaker switch.
Does anyone repro the floor mats? I really like them and they add that Motorama show car look to the Starfire that I love.
If I could find a 62 floor shift column would be great of I did come across a 61 column would be amazing but I'm not keeping my hopes up. I would probably just remove the column shift lever and grind off the boss for it, body work it and paint it along with a simple block off plate for the indicator. I have enough of the interior to complete the "illusion"; even as it sits with just the seats and new carpet it has completely changed the look and feel of the car.
Ive gotten help from several members on here from parts to tips and photos and leads on other parts and I really appreciate it guys!

Update. I've found the elusive 61 Starfire door panels, complete but they will need some work. I will post up some pictures and document my restoration. They are even the correct color! Not sure how much I can save.....
Is there any source for the embossed metal trim in the center of the panel?
I still will like to find a JUNK pair of door panels, any color or just the U shaped trim pieces on the upper part of the panel so I can custom make matching rear panels. Please help! Thanks guys.

Thank you, I am looking specifically for 1961 Oldsmobile Starfire front left and right door panels.
My apologies but I am not able to change the title of the thread. I'm currently accumulating all the parts to build my new front door panels and I may start a new one when i start construction.

So if you followed my Starfire Hardtop thread you may have seen I finally completed my Starfire door panels. The reason I'm updating this thread is that I'm still on search of a pair of door panels so I can fabricate the custom rear panels I need which will pretty much complete the interior. Any help or leads would be MUCH appreciated.

Also I want to mention I have a complete set of interior panels in maroon for a 62 Starfire hardtop with manual windows. Nice, original panels front and rear with just a couple of imperfections that are almost imperceptible when installed on a car. I would like $450 obo for the set + shipping.
Small rip in top of drivers rear panel very easy repair.
Minimal water stains on the backs.
This is a small fraid area bottom of passenger door panel. Carpet is fraid but has great color despite the color of the photo.

Well.....the bottom of the drivers panel was gone from the arm rest down, a previous owner had effected a passable repair but it was hashed. The passenger panel I still have but i had to rob the metal upper section under each because the Starfire door panels i found were missing them. I did save the passenger panel if someone needs it, it just needs the upper metal section and the window fuzzie.

Pardon me but I replied to your post last Feb, but you never responded. I have a nice set of 1962 Starfire door panels, maroon, and the Starfire dash emblem. If you don't want them why do you keep them in your post?

I have a set of maroon 62 panels to sell on here myself. I guess I should start two new threads?

I'm still in search for the 1961 Starfire door panels for parts only. Specifically the "U" shaped stainless steel pieces on the top portion of the panel.
The Maroon 1962 panels are still available and I would be willing to take reasonable offers on those plus shipping costs. Thanks for looking and I'd appreciate any leads or referrals.
