Temperature Sending Unit

I need advise as to where I can find an electrical connector that will fit on this temperature sending gauge? I have called M&H and American Auto Wire and they dont sell individual connectors. Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, typing GM single wire coolant temp sender connector into Google is a good place to start.

The aftermarket ones all appear to be incorrect white, unfortunately.

Thank you for the offer but I ended up improvising and made one from a female 18ga 56 connector

Put a little dielectric grease on that connection to avoid corrosion.

That's exactly what I did with a friends Chevelle... I didn't know if you wanted to stay original or not.

I did not know what it looked like and after Joe sent that picture I got to thinking since I have 56 connectors I would just try my hand at making one. I am not all that in to being everything original. What I always want is something functions well and looks good. The fun of the hobby business.

Actually, the correct terminal is the single wire female terminal, with a slot in it. Harvesting from a truck harness is a great idea. Mouser has the correct new ones in stock for 32 cents each.

The Delphi part number is 2962965-B

And you may want to rethink the teflon tape on the sending units. Erroneous readings have been reported. The base is brass, it won't seize. Not in your lifetime anyway.

Saw several alternative methods illustrated. I work at a john deere equipment store. We carry that connector in stock, have to have them provide the clip to crimp the wire too.
Otherwise basic electrical pack from a hardware store with a simple female spade connector I saw in a pic above.
