1968 Hood Hinge Springs

Does anyone make new hood hinge springs for a 1968 442 or do I need to find a clean set of originals?

I moved your post to parts wanted, I don't think 68 is that easy to find. All the other years yes, good luck.
Summit references this Goodmark pn, but Goodmark doesn't reference your model for the same pn. Fusick or any of the the repro places do not reference a 68 part.

Are you sure it's the springs? More often than not the hinge pivot points are rusted and the hood doesn't close properly.

Ally the pivot points look ok. The driver side of the hood is raised but you can push it down. It looks as if the left front fender needs to be raised but it's actually the hood that needs to come down.

It may be an adjustment issue. Have you tried to adjust the hinge mounts to the fender. I think the CSM has a section on it.

X2. Try lowering the front of the hinge or raising the rear. I know intuitively that seems wrong but that's the adjustment that's usually needed.

Are the factory hood spacers in place? 2 small discs at the rear bolt to the hood.
