1962 Starfire Exhaust Hangers
#2
As far as I know nobody re-produces hangers for '60's "B" bodies .
But if you have old and crusty ones they can be re-stored like this ;
Before ;
And after;
I drilled the rivits to weaken them and drove them out with a punch .
Then the metal pieces were bead blasted and painted ;
The rubber parts were cut from some industrial belt material . And it was all bolted together .

I'll look....are you replacing the exhaust? Here's what I did on my 62' Starfire. I drilled the rubber straps off of the brackets that attach to the frame. I then blasted and painted the brackets and bolted these Edward's hangars to the brackets then reinstalled the brackets on the frame. When I put my new exhaust in we'll weld the hangar to the pipe and have a much neater install. Go to Summit website and type in Edward's exhaust hangars 36516.

Yes, new exhaust system, using 1964 Starfire mufflers, should hang in the same location. I will check out those hangers.... my car does have the original hangers, but the rubbers are shot.... thanks for the info!
