Manual transmission inspection cover flywheel cover

no, no.... a little too high.... anyone can get the MT cover, it's the undented AT cover that can't be found!
nudge wink
PS one reason I was interested is that in re-doing the '69 a while back we bought a "new GM" cover which I suspect was Chinese with a fake GM sticker, because it took half a day to fit it to the engine- the cutout for the oil pan was the wrong diameter- at the oil seal semicircle- and some other fitment issues. I'd rather have a used one that fits right.

Well, unfortunately the symmetrical dent I thought belonged there doesn't. Both I have are dented in the middle, one more than the other. I'll keep whichever one doesn't sell. I'll blast and paint on Friday which is why they aren't pretty yet.

Still - these are desirable pieces since many cars have the replacement type plastic covers and being metal you can work the dings/dents out of them with a bit of time and effort. Better yet - easier to deal with paint-wise than plastic. Don't believe anyone repros this cover in steel like your originals so again, that adds to the desirability.
Manual covers are also metal but they are shaped completely different.
