Type O 3.23 ring and pinon
From a Rallye 350 that was wrecked in the front about 1977 and sat. I bought the axle (and some other things) about 14 years ago and it sat indoors while I've owned it. Don't need this ring and pinon. Good shape.
$250 plus shipping.
finally have some pics (thats paper stuck on the pinon)

Only 330/350-powered Delmont and Delta 88's from 67-70 used the 8.5" type O - even then you'd have to check to be sure which model rear end was actually in it.
My '67 has a 8.2" type P while my '68 has the 8.5" type O.

Was there a BOP 8.2 type O and how do you tell the difference between type P and type O.
I have what I believe is a BOP 8.2 with 2:78 gears. would that be a type P or a type O ?

Type O rear was manufactured by Olds division and came in 8-1/2" 10-bolt gear (12-bolt cover) for A-body and 9-3/8" 12-bolt gear for B & C-body use.

I thought the original post was pretty clear. But to answer your questions, yes have one of the original axle shafts, I sold the other to a friend a while ago. 1970 Rallye 350. It's the original type O
