1971 442 Front Sway Bar

This is an original front sway bar recently removed from a 1971 442. It has been cleaned up and ready to ship. It is in good condition with only minimal surface rust. Has what appears to be a white inspection marking on the one side. Measures 1" thick. Included are the two original bushing brackets. *Asking $125 plus shipping to lower 48 states. Will listen to reasonable offers. Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.

I saw and read your message but I can not send you a reply until you delete some of your old messages---on my end it says you have exceeded your private message space. Therefore I can't send you a message til you delete your old ones.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about the sway bar having dimples..? If you are talking about a relief in the area just below both ends then yes they do have them. If you have a sample photo you could send me just to confirm. I do have a few more '71 442 parts--- an original metal upper radiator cover and an original lower plastic valance with the date and part number #398171. If you have an email address I can send you better photos of the sway bar and the other two parts I mentioned above. Maybe you'll be able to see them more clearer.
Thanks,
SAL

Hi Sal.

Sorry about the inbox problem, I did clean-up the excess messages. My e-mail address is alombardy@msn.com. I will try to figure out how to post a photo of the FE-2 sway bar end.

Thanks,
Anthony

Could not get the image to post, but the link showing the sway bar in the Oldsmobile Inspector's Guide on Wild About Cars is:

Right now I'm using 3 coat hangers twisted together. It seems to working just great. Looking to step up to 4 in the near future!

Hmmm. I was under the impression the F41 bars had the "nipple" on the very end of the bar for 442. This one appears to have it off center???? Or am I looking at it wrong?
