Nothing is cheap to ship anymore. IMO, USPS still seems to have the best rates compared to couriers, and will treat your parcel with exactly the same 'respect'.

Fastenal is the cheapest. You'll have to strap it to a pallet and drop it off at your local Fastenal store. They ship it to the store nearest the person who's receiving the parts. Most have fork lifts so they can handle anything from motors to rear differentials.
The person receiving the parts have to fill out this form and pay for the shipping in advance. http://www.fastenal.com/web/en/22/th...logistics-(3pl)
You can both find nearest stores here: http://www.fastenal.com/web/location...ry=&storeCode=
Good luck!

DO NOT use a trucking company.
I tried that once.
Entire interior for a 75 H/O
Took days to pack in into a tall pallet.
I had heard numbers like $80-150 to ship a trans on a pallet.
It was shipped freight collect.
They asked if I wanted a quote, and I said no, the buyer is paying freight so it does not matter to me.
For some unexplained reason, they charged more because it was a TALL pallet, as if that matters. When it arrived the buyer did not like the $400 shipping cost and refused to accept it. I presume it went in a dumpster somewhere.
Bad experience all the way around.

I ship with a trucking company and it's not bad @ all. Granted if you don't have an account,it gets high. All you have to do is call or go by a trucking company and ask to see a sales rep. Tell them you're an occasional shipper and would like to open an account. I use R&L Carriers and they have been great to me. I just shipped two 66 442 front fenders in one box from B'ham,Al to Greensboro NC for $102. I get a 78% discount from them to most places. I do have to prepay the shipping charges but that has not been a problem for me. I tried to use Fastenal for the fenders just to see the difference but I was told they will not ship auto sheet metal.

Check out this thread. It has several examples of what members have used and what they thought about them. John
