They were available in 2 styles. That's one of them. Yes they're fairly uncommon (I guess rare is ok to use), but definitely not worth 400.00. I bought mine for the awkward price of 125.00 IIRC.

What model years were the dealer installed tissue dispensers offered for the A-bodies?

Not even dealer installed. Anyone with 5 minutes of spare time can do it. The one I have is held to the trans hump with a long metal pin through the carpet as per instructions. Not sure when they started offering them but supposedly it was around 67/68?? They are not model year specific, they are simply an option anyone could pick up and install for a brand look in their car. These dispensers were also available with the bowtie, Pontiac and Buick emblems. After a while the options were just marketed under a generic GM emblem (like in the early 40's)

Interesting, thanks Allen for the information. If I come across one at a reasonable price I'd like to get one. I'll check the internet to see if I can find what the other design looks like.
