Wait. stupid question, different manifolds, different engine mounts, of course they're different.

good question mister tony

the driver side outlet on the 350 factory manifold uses a smaller flange with different bolt hole location.
i guess you could have one made with the small flange on it
and then you could have 2 1/4 exhaust , to and/or thru , the bumper

hope the pics show how much larger the big block outlet is

Wow, that's a huge difference..

i've been toying with the idea of adding the ILT factory dual exhaust system onto my car. Right now i have the good ol' single with crossover. Surprisingly it sounds pretty throaty.

Cool! we'll have to talk about this more. I dont there are any good exhaust shops up here in Canada.

I think to go from single to dual i'll also need a crossover block plate.

I can confirm that i do have a dual-hump transmission crossmember. Which i think makes things easier.

i have a block off plate
or if you can weld you can make your own out of the flange on the crossover pipe.

the old exhaust usually seems to come off easily , with a sawzall.
soak the studs with jb80 , pb blaster or a rust eating , penetrating concoction of your choosing. if you can get things undone without broken studs or bolts it should be fairly painless

i spoke with jeremy at the exhaust factory about your car today.
they can make more pipes , only problem is the 300usd set up fee for the bender plus time and materials to make the small block pipe for drivers side. 400dollars or so

he did have another option

you could buy some pipes from me.
cut the end off the pipe , instal the smaller flange and flare the pipe to match the manifold. any good exhaust shop should be able to do this

or you could also have a custom system built and installed for less than ilt or garner kit price
Im looking for a 2 1/4" stock pipes for my 70 Cutlass Convt. So you're saying it will cost $400 to make me a dual pipes? Or buy your pipes as is and just cut the flanges and get a 350 flange and have it welded?

Heartthrob just broke my heart. I know on the dual exhaust, one side is smaller than the other side. So the driver side is the smaller one?

Hey they are a business and sell thousands of pieces by the semi load to summit / jegs etc. They just do not have time to make individual pipes , special order pieces , with out charging for their set up time and labor.

The 350 cars did have a smaller diameter pipe on the driver side , manifold to muffler.

You can put the smaller flange onto a 2 1/4 pipe to bolt it up to and use it on a small block with factory exhaust manifolds. The pipes I had made were all designed for big block WZ manifolds. So the left front pipe would need to have the smaller flange installed on it to work on a 350

Well
there is a road block at heart throb exhaust
The bender machine computer crashed and they LOST ALL MY DATA
So now it will take a complete start over they can scan my pipes into their system and I WILL PAY THEM TO DO THAT AGAIN Last time it was a $500 fee to get that done and set up charge.
Plus time and materials if when the would make any more pipes...

Requires me to drive for hours just to even get an estimate on what cost will possibly be
Sounds EXPENSIVE and likely more of a pain in the butt than it will be worth

IF / WHEN I go there I will post details and availability
