Offenhauser 360, Single Quad, Low Rise Intake manifold

I removed this from my 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass 350 to go another route. This is the Offenhauser 360, single quad, single plane, split runner intake manifold. Part number 5165.

Offenhauser 360 Degree Equa-Flow Single Quad Low-Rise intake manifolds incorporate special technology that Offenhauser pioneered. Their single plane, 360 degree design, with its special split plenum and carefully shaped runners, supplies a dense fuel-air mix to all cylinders all the time. This wipes out flat spots and significantly boosts overall output. Power bands start as low as 1,400 rpm and range as high as 8,800 rpm, depending on the application.

List from SummitRacing is $364.00
List from AutoPartsDealer is $366.08

Im only asking $280/offer.

PM or email for more info.

Will update and pictures tonight (25JAN11)

Just an FYI and please don't take this as I'm busting your chops, but no matter what that cost new you're not getting 280 for that. Especially with broken studs in it. And in general the Olds community is kinda cheap (no offense guys, I know I am).

As an example I recently paid $150 for an Edelbrock performer 455 shipped clear across the country and it was cleaned up, painted, no broken studs and ready to bolt on.

Just kinda use that as a gauge as to what this manifold might be worth and do not be offended if you get low balled on it.

I don't get offended at offers, thus is why I was redundant in saying "asking $280 or offer." That term itself is redundant using "asking" and "offer" in the same sentence.

But while we are comparing apples to oranges, the Edelbrock Performer for a 455 lists at only $285.95. if you only paid $150 for it, that means you got it for 48% off of list. Thats a good deal.

Since this intake lists at ~$367, if we use the same math at only purchasing used parts for 53% of new price because of filth, broken studs, etc; that would mean an offer of just under $200 would be in order. In which case, I accept.

If someone offers $200 for the intake, wonderful. It will help towards the purchase of my Edelbrock 600 AVS that I plan on putting on the car. If by chance someone doesn't follow the same guidelines as you have set forth and offers maybe 60 - 70% of new price, I could stand to have some extra money for pizza and beer on top of the AVS.

Although I do thank you for your concern, I put that price there expecting to get beat up over it. This way I get a nominal amount of funds I didn't have in the first place and the buyer feels like they got a great deal because they were able to beat me up on the price during negotiations.

FWIW, I normally media blast my intakes back to natural looking without all the grease stains and busted studs, I just haven't gotten around to doing this one yet and figured people would rather see what kind of intake it is and do the research on it before formulating a viable offer. One of my pet peeves is someone that list something for sale without any pictures at all leaving the item up to the imagination of the buyer.

Oh I hear ya. Believe me I'm not trying to bust on ya. It's just the reality of used parts trading, ya know?

That's also because you dealt with one of the best used Olds parts peddlers on the east coast

And not to salt the already exposed wound.. I couldn't get a nibble at $150 for this one... I finally ended up giving it back to the man I tried to sell it for.

Thanks guys. Yeah, used parts selling is down for sure, but there's always that chance there is some old guy purist that wants an offy intake for his Olds of the correct year. In doing the research on this intake I guess these things were designed and released in the early 60's. Now I haven't figured out where the date/time stamp is located so I can get a proper manufacture date for it, but it seems its been on the car, along with the double roller timing set we pulled out for a long time.

Who knows, maybe I can try and trade it and some $$ for the AVS I have my eyes on. At least then I will be getting SOME money out of it.

Will it fit a 330? I would pay $150.00 for the clean blue one and make an offer on the one that needs work... If it fits.

Neither will fit your 330. Both are for big blocks. Sorry.

Everything that I have read says this fits 330, 350, and 403.

The other intake for the big blocks fits 400, 425, and 455.

So what Im seeing is yes, this fits 330's.

I stand corrected, that one is an SBO manifold. The blue one is a BBO.
