US Body Source Fiberglass Fenders 1970-2

I just listed a set of fiberglass US Body Source fenders for cutlass or 442 1970-2 on ebay. # 330492844128 This group has already helped me much on my restoration and if anyone would like them I will take $300 and end the ebay auction. Lee

I wondered the same thing. I was going to use them on my vista cruiser and decided just to keep the ra hood and sell the fenders.

I purchased a set of those glass fenders from US Body Source,in the mid-1990's.I got the heavy-duty version,so I could mount my inner fenders, lights, etc. They make a lightweight/race version, and a heavy-duty/street version.I think they were almost $700.00 by the time I got them to my door.US Body Source is located in Florida.
I am now working on a customer's car,and installing a set of fiberglass front fenders from Glasstek.I think VFN might make some too,but I have never had any in my hands.
Back in the 90's you could get whole 1/4 panels in fiberglass.I helped a local guy install a set on a 71 convertible, and I know of a few 70-72 fastback cars with them installed.I don't think they are made anymore though. We used some of that Corvette glue to bond them on,and they haven't moved yet.

The fenders were on a car I purchased with the matched us body source hood. The hood is really light and now is on my 1970 Vista Cruiser. It uses oem hood hinges and I installed a lighter spring on one side to make it work perfectly. I still need to cut out the scoop and air cleaner area to make the ram air functional. I put the fenders on ebay for 399 and didnt even get an offer but ebay is offering their special no listing fee again in a few weeks so they will be back on again soon.

SOLD Fenders went to a local olds racer. They were on ebay twice and posted here for months. I posted again a couple days ago and four buyers. Very sorry to the group members.
