Hi Brian - If there are no pinholes or other nonsense, I think I need to buy this to have it in stock for someday. Is the choke hot air tube mount area okay and not rusty or thin? (I have an otherwise nice one with that issue now....) Thanks.

HI Terry
There are no rust holes in the air cleaner. It did have some rust pitting. After I cleaned the base I went directly to paint. I did not put heavy primer / filler on it... did not try to hide anything
Structure is very sound , no weak or soft spots... I will take more pictures later today.
If you have a business address or a good UPS account to use you may be able to save a few $$$ on shipping. This will take a fairly large box to ship securely / safely. The last one I shipped was $40 to FeDeX .... ouch ... spendy
I checked FEDEX today and shipping NOW $60 to lower 48

I was going to compare the pics you sent (thank you) to my current air cleaner unit this weekend when I get to my garage. I'd be interested in comparing this nicer one to it as well. It may well be worth the extra $$ - just need to see it. (The email notification I got for this thread at 2:18 EST shows $440 shipped but I guess it isn't.) My email for pics is vette442@hotmail.com. Thanks again.Terry
