7 M 18 date

very clean case and stamp

tested fine ... it just about jumped off the bench

going thru a 55 gallon barrel of starters Olds and Pontiac and chevy
and found this one last night

probably from my 68 W-30 ....

For some reason unknown to me, I thought this starter was used exclusively on the '69 Hurst Olds. Is that correct, or are there other uses that apply to the bigger cars?

The date code you have is too early for a 69 H/O, it might be okay for a 68 H/O. I think that number was used on any of the high compression 455s for 68 and 69 big cars
