Your giving them away at that price. Toro units I believe are the same as the A-body just the rods are the difference. Mike is a picky SOB so I would think these are show car worthy.
Now do I get my free one after that good review?

Pat

I checked the parts book and it lists all but Toro for both years. It then lists a different part # for Toro so there has to something different about them. Did you get the one I sent you? let me know about the differences and if it's just the rods,I think I can get the Toro rods made also.

Is it the same one that fits a Tri Carb intake except a longer rod?

No the housing & rod is totally different. The tri carb unit is a smaller unit and the rod is much longer.

I got the 66 in today and will try to get to the building after work tomorrow. The number you list for the 67 is stamped on the housing in my 67 Toro. I will look to play with the rods and get back ASAP.

Mike, here is what i found on the Toros. These should work just fine and since they cant be seen, i cant figure it matters as its more important they operate. Certainly the rods are different and I will shoot one out to you. The 66 stats have a hole on the opposite side of the coil, meaning the shaft that holds it in internally only goes about halfway. The housing is overall the same for sure but for whatever reason, they didnt extend the shaft all the way through. Now on several 67s I looked at, the hole on the far side isnt open but there is a funny shim looking piece attached to the side of it. I dont see anything goes there so why its there is a ? I ran out of daylight but will post a photo of both on Friday when im off work.

Thanks for the input. He had to make the 66 with the shaft going all the way through. As with most parts, the factory had ways of doing things that's not possible in the repo world. The shaft going all the way through doesn't hurt the functionality @ all and is strictly visual.

You are correct about the 67 having that tab or arm that moves the shaft. I have researched them and I can't find anything about what it is or does. That was another thing he couldn't duplicate either. Do you have any info as to the functionality of that part? Is the 66 & 67 Toro rods the same or different like the other models? If they are different,do you have both rods you could send so I can see if he can do them?

All in all I think they are outstanding, what's your thoughts?

Mike

Mike, I've not seen anything either in the manual or on any of my cars that utilize that screw or tab. My guess is maybe it's a way to increase or decrease tension on the coil? I will assume the new one operates correctly but it's too damn cold here to play with it for now. It will look good for detail but is mostly hidden. I sent you a rod from one of mine to play with. They appeared to me to be identical for 66/67. Should have it by Monday. Thanks again and checks in the mail. Pat

I got the rod, thanks. I'm sending it to the guy to see if he can do it. I see no reason why not but will wait to see what he says.

Thanks Again
