Rebuilt "J" Heads

Rebuilt "J" Heads
These heads came on my recent 455 purchase. They were supposedly rebuilt with new springs, seals, guides, and milled for straightness. They look very clean. I have not run them or the motor, I'm doing a complete tear-down and rebuild. The claim was that the entire engine was rebuilt but never fired. During the tear-down I did find new clevite main and rod bearings.
Sale includes heads, springs, and valves only. No rockers, pushrods, etc.
I don't have any paperwork for these heads so I'm selling cheap and as-is. $250 OBO. $200 for CO members
EDIT: I prefer local pickup but buyer would pay shipping otherwise. In central Illinois, near Bloomington.

If you don't get a taker within driving distance I've shipped a lot of heads. I pull the rockers (which your doing anyway) but leave the springs and valves on. Then I find some thick cardboard, preferably double corrugated, then roll the head wrapping it twice and using a lot of packaging tape. Its a package about 24"X9"X8" and weighing 58 pounds. That's one head per package. Shipping FedEx ground isn't too bad on costs. So, if you strike out locally you might consider this. John

Still for sale. I talked a CO member out of paying shipping, lol. Would rather they be looked at before purchasing.
All I know for sure is that they look clean, the valve stem faces aren't visibly worn, and the umbrella seals look new.
